Long Bay Correctional Complex is located 14km south of Sydney's central business district. The complex houses the:
- Long Bay Hospital a maximum security facility for medical and psychiatric cases.
- Metropolitan Special Programs Centre (MSCP) a maximum/minimum security facility.

City Rail Information
The Long Bay Complex is situated on Anzac Parade about 3 km south of Maroubra. There is limited private parking available on the complex.
Long Bay Hospital
Hospital Area 1
Maximum security. Holds a total of 120 inmate patients in four wards. One ward is for medical cases and the other three for long-term and short-term psychiatric cases. The hospital is jointly administered by Corrective Services and the NSW Department of Health.
Hospital Area 2
Maximum security. Formerly the Metropolitan Remand Centre, it is currently being used to hold inmates who have been discharged from Long Bay Hospital or are awaiting medical appointments

Legal Practitioners may visit seven days between 9:00am-3:00pm. Twenty-four hours notification of intention to visit must be given by telephoning the Centre on (02) 9289 2904 or (02) 9694 4304.
Metropolitan Special Programs Centre (MSPC)
The Metropolitan Special Programs Centre (MSPC) accommodates all classification of inmates including those in transit awaiting medical appointments with the Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network.
It consists of three areas, each providing a range of therapeutic programs which are part of statewide strategies to address specific behavioral issues. It houses transit inmates. These are designed to addresses the needs of offenders and include the Violent Offender Therapeutic Program, the Kevin Waller Unit and the Acute Crisis Unit for inmates with self harm Issues. The Ngara Nura program is offered to inmates with addiction problems. The Additional Support Unit is for inmates with intellectual disabilities.

*** the MSPC 2 & 3 alternate weekly with regard to the Saturdays and Sundays. ie. one week the MSPC 2 will facilitate visits on a Saturday and the next week they will do them on a Sunday.
