2008-2009 Victims of Violent Crimes Grants Program - Grants Recipients

Funding for 2008-2009 has now been fully allocated. The following list represents a range of community agencies that were successfully granted funds either for projects or for the purchase of resources.

13	Lifeline Newcastle and Hunter	Crisis Intervention Response Services (CIRS)	To provide support, information and referral to victims of trauma as an early intervention strategy in partnership with local Police

24	SHINE for Kids	Indigenous volunteer recruitment campaign	To embark on an Indigenous Volunteer Campaign to work with children and young people who have an incarcerated parent overcome social and educational barriers.

26	Tweed Shire Women’s Service Inc	Community Education - Resource development for women and children	To develop two distinct resources for women and children experiencing, at risk or have experienced domestic and family violence specific for the Tweed region.
